In the past few years, ITSC collaborated with ISOM and CSE to recruit over 60 student interns every year. They acquired a number of the following learning objectives by actively participating in the IT support and development tasks:

  • Leadership
  • Service Desk Operation
  • Computer Barn Support
  • Field Service
  • Networking Service Assistance
  • Application Development
  • IT and A/V Support in Teaching Venues
  • A/V Setup for Events

Feedbacks from student interns indicate that the program is a good preparation for their future career. Here are some of their achievements last year:

  • Developed the computer barn booking system with the schedule display at the door front
  • Developed the eNotice system to show the help desk roster and other useful notices
  • Developed the computer barn closing announcement system
  • Developed the PRS handset management system to manage the inventory of PRS handsets
  • Enhanced the print queue monitoring system
  • Assisted in the setup of new PC in several computer barns
  • Supported Service Desk and computer barn operations
