The following chart illustrates the number of accepted HKPFS awards from 2010/11 to 2013/14.

Established by the Research Grants Council (RGC) of Hong Kong in 2009, the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) aims at attracting the best and brightest students from all over the world to pursue PhD studies in UGC-funded institutions in Hong Kong.  The Fellowship provides the awardee with a monthly stipend of HK$20,000 (~USD2,500) and a conference travel allowance of HK$10,000 (~USD1,300) per year for a maximum period of three years.

The deadline for application for HKPFS 2014/15 to be lodged with RGC is 2 December 2013 and the deadline of application with the University is 4 December 2013.  Details of the scheme are available here.
