Fulbright-RGC Hong Kong Research Scholar Award
For 2013/14, a PhD student from Division of Biomedical Engineering has received the Fulbright-RGC Hong Kong Research Scholar Award under the UGC-Fulbright Hong Kong Dissertation Research Program.

The Program aims to support local (permanent HKSAR residents or Chinese citizens) PhD students at UGC-funded institutions who wish to conduct dissertation research in the United States.  It is launched by the Research Grants Council (RGC) in collaboration with the U.S. Consulate-General in Hong Kong and supported by commercial donors.  The Hong Kong-America Center is responsible for the administration of the Programme and the solicitation of donation.

The award will provide the awardee with US$1600 per month for a period of six to ten months to conduct research for their PhD dissertations in the U.S. Details of the Program can be found here.
