New! Career Coaching Workshops for PG Students
Have you ever thought of how powerful coaching skills could help you find your career interest or even pencil your career goal?

In October, the Career Center invited Ms. Keiko Shinohara, a professional coach, specializing in life, career, and executive coaching, to conduct two programs exclusively for postgraduate students, namely "Searching your Career Direction through Coaching" and "Career Planning for your Life Long Success".

If you are interested in learning about what you can be instead of what you are, watch out for future offerings of the programs!

The 13th Career Mosaic
More than 56 companies from different industries participated in our Career Mosaic, on October 8- 11, 2013 in LTJ Concourse offering graduate and internship opportunities. More than 29 recruitment talks were held by the participating companies.  The Career Mosaic is a great opportunity for students to meet with company representatives in a less formal setting. Our next Career Mosaic would be held in March 4-7, 2014.  Please mark your calendar!

Apart from Career Mosaic, PG-targeted corporations such as Lenovo, Apple and Alibaba also conducted recruitment talks on campus in October and November.  You can refer to the website of Career Center from time to time for the latest update.

E-Gala: Entrepreneurial Dreams Come True
On October 12 (Saturday), more than 300 students and alumni gathered for our very first E-Gala (Alumni Entrepreneur Sharing), organized by CEN (China Entrepreneur Network), E-Academy and Students’ Union with the support of Student Affairs Office and Development and Alumni Office.

The event kicked off with a presentation and helicopter demonstration by Mr. Wang Tao, founder of DJI (Dajiang Innovation Technology Co, Ltd), followed by a panel discussion of alumni entrepreneurs including Mr. Eric Yung, Ms. Miranda Gao, Mr. Alex Cheng, and Mr. Alvin Lam. The day was filled with fun and stimulating discussions on the possibilities, opportunities and challenges in entrepreneurship.

Many of our students are beginning to explore entrepreneurship as a career option and we hope to see more and more students start their own business beyond HKUST!
