The School of Engineering (SENG) extended a warm welcome to new Master of Science (MSc) students at the Mega Welcoming held on Saturday, 6 September 2014 at the Engineering Commons.  Over 400 MSc students and faculty members attended the memorable event.  

 

In Fall Term 2014/15, SENG has admitted over 650 full-time and part-time MSc students and 11% of them are international students from around the world.  At the welcoming session, Prof King Lun Yeung, Associate Dean of Engineering (Research & Graduate Studies) highlighted that the School had made continuous efforts in promoting internationalization and industry engagement.  Prof Yeung encouraged students to enjoy their learning and studies, mingle actively with each other as well as interact with the top-notch faculty members, and participate in various University activities.  The School will continue to support students’ learning at HKUST and prepare them for the challenges ahead in their professional fields.
