2nd Library E-Discovery Week
Can you remember our first Library E-Discovery Week in fall 2013? The event was overwhelming.  There were over 600 students and staff attending workshops, visiting exhibitions and completing quizzes to compete for tempting prizes.  To keep up the good work, we are going to have the 2nd Library E-Discovery Week in Spring 2015 from February 9 - 13, shortly before the Chinese New Year.  All students and staff will be invited to take part.

"Learn.  Search.  Win." is our spirit.  Learning is fun and interactive.  You are encouraged to search and explore more about the Library's electronic collection with a chance of winning exciting prizes.

There will be 9 exhibition booths at the G/F Library entrance on February 11 and 12, showcasing some of our featured electronic resources.  You are invited to take part in the E-Discovery Challenge by taking a paper quiz distributed on site.  Visit the databases and the booths to hunt for right answers.  Booth owners and library staff will assist you whenever you need help and verify your answers.   Return your completed quiz and you are done.

If your answers are all correct, you are eligible to enter the Lucky Draw.  Thanks to our 12 generous sponsors, we have 15 fascinating prizes, including IPad Air, iPad Mini, Galaxy TabPro, Nexus 7, Apple Store gift cards and Xiaomai phone.

We will also hold 12 training workshops through the week to introduce various e-resources.  Local trainers, along with trainers from Singapore, Australia and Mainland China, will introduce the content coverage, special features and tips on smart searching of designated electronic resources with hands-on practice.  You are welcome to join any combination of workshops that interest you.  Take a short quiz afterwards and there again you may become one of our Lucky Draw winners.

The Prize Presentation Ceremony will be held on Feb 25 at the Library Gallery.  We look forward to seeing your happy and exciting faces there.
